Lobby renovation and accessibility upgrade. Valencia. 2025
Intervention in 2025 in a 1976 residential building.
This project tackled the challenge of integrating an accessible ramp and garage descent within a very limited space, achieving both comfort and elegance.
The design was guided by a clear premise: a slope below 5%, ensuring independent and easy access for wheelchair users, while maintaining sufficient clearance at the garage entrance.
The 1970s building still retained traces of its original charm — glazed ceramics, a mural by renowned artist Julio Bono, and wooden details — though much of its character had been lost through earlier renovations.
With a tight budget and the neighbors’ wish for a modern, minimalist aesthetic, we chose to preserve the mural and let it inspire the new palette and materials.
Warm corten tones, soft curves, and subtle lighting create a welcoming atmosphere that honors the building’s history while bringing it into the present.
At miniArquitectura, we design friendly, functional spaces that make life easier and more joyful, always with respect for comfort, durability, and the environment.
